Our Story..
Hi, I am Niamh!
A County Down based wedding & portrait photographer, wife to Stuart and Mummy to three handsome boys, a wee bird and an angel. I love living in the countryside, walks on the beach with big skies looking for seaside treasures, a good book in the sunshine, Thai food, and the odd city break in a nice hotel for a wee gin, the craic and a relax! I’m a music lover, a bit of Indie or Rock and I never say no to a good concert!
I have always loved art, photography and being creative is part of my soul, it’s my happy place! My passion is recording life’s loves and adventures; even back to my childhood when I spent my pocket money on disposable cameras and into my teens photographing all the fun before the days of mobile phones. In my former life I was an early years and primary school teacher, art specialist and loving life surrounded by little people and teaching creatively.
Pregnant with baby number five, my path took a turn when we were faced with the words, “I’m sorry, but there’s no heartbeat” and the sad loss of our little Angel Oisín. A piece of my heart was lost forever that day, but my grief and the want for my wee Oisín to live on fuelled me with an inner strength I never knew I had. I picked up my camera again, this time with an Angel by my side, and began my healing journey.
My loss, my ‘Niamh and Oisín’ story has driven my passion to record, with empathy, the love stories of others in all their emotion and detail, those special times we never get back.
